6" Round Plate
This plate is made from the remains of sugarcane stalks after they’ve been crushed in sugar refineries to extract juice. Officially known as bagasse (BUH - gas), this waste byproduct is typically burned so you’re helping to reduce pollutants in the air AND eliminate waste.
These babies are tough too- you can microwave, freeze, and even put boiling liquid on them safely. Who knew sugarcane was so hearty?
Bagasse plates will turn back into soil through composting in usually 6 to 7 weeks. They’re a great alternative to petroleum-based plastic plates or even tree-based ones.
